In Friday's league test, the Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX), by a score of 83-12.

Next, the Trail Blazers clash with the Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Americas will attempt to improve on its 18-3 season record. The Matadors come into the test with a 9-13 record after their 46-38 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX).
