January 3, 2025: Southern Pines, NC 28387 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Pinecrest Patriots basketball squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Providence Panthers.
Next, the Patriots encounter the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 7. Pinecrest will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 56-26 non-league loss to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC).
The Panthers (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots come into the test with a 11-2 record. In their last test, Independence held off Garinger (Charlotte, NC), 68-33, in a league test.
