Illinois High School Basketball - Cornerstone Christian crushes Lowpoint-Washburn
January 30, 2023: Washburn, IL 61570 Cornerstone Christian Cyclones (Bloomington, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL), 72-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Cornerstone Christian upgrades its record to 20-4 on the season. The Cyclones host DeLand-Weldon (DeLand, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a East Central Illinois bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-19. DeLand-Weldon lost 52-28 in their recent league bout against Greenview (Greenview, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons (Flanagan, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Lowpoint-Washburn will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 48-45 league win over Fisher (Fisher, IL).
