January 30, 2023: Mapleton, OR 97453 The Eddyville Eagles (Eddyville, OR) basketball nipped the host Mapleton Sailors (Mapleton, OR), 38-35 in Monday's league test.
The Eagles (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Alsea (Alsea, OR). The Wolverines go into the 1A Mountain West test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Alsea got by Crow (Eugene, OR), 52-15, in a league test.
The Sailors now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Mohawk for a 1A Mountain West test on Thursday, February 2. Mapleton will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 67-26 league win over Siletz Valley (Siletz, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-6.
