Oregon High School Basketball - Mapleton edges Siletz Valley
February 7, 2023: Mapleton, OR 97453 The Mapleton Sailors (Mapleton, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Siletz Valley (Siletz, OR), 43-36 in Tuesday's league test.
The Sailors (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Alsea (Alsea, OR). The Wolverines go into the 1A Mountain West test with a 13-8 record. In their last test, Alsea was tipped by Perrydale (Amity, OR), 56-43, in a non-league test.
The now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Crow for a 1A Mountain West test on Thursday, February 9. Siletz Valley will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 59-49 non-league win over Milo Adventist Academy (Days Creek, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 5-14.
