Washington High School Basketball - Mount Vernon crushes Sedro-Woolley
January 30, 2023: Mount Vernon, WA 98273 Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA), 83-44 in a league bout.
With the victory, Mount Vernon improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to confront the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Mt. Baker lost 77-55 in their recent league challenge against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA)
Next up, the Cubs confront the Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Sedro-Woolley will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a 16-2 record after their 67-46 league win over Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA).
