Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), 61-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Burlington-Edison upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Anacortes (Anacortes, WA) to play the Seahawks in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Monday, December 12. The Seahawks go into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Seattle Academy Cardinals (Seattle, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 73-33 league win over Bear Creek (Redmond, WA).
