Louisiana High School Basketball - Assumption nips Morgan City
January 30, 2024: Morgan City, LA 70380 Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Morgan City Tigers (Morgan City, LA), 71-64 in a league bout.
With the win, Assumption upgrades its record to 1-19 on the season. The Mustangs travel to St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 17-4.
Next up, the Tigers play the White Castle Bulldogs (White Castle, LA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Morgan City will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 68-61 non-league loss to Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA).
