New Jersey High School Basketball - Bloomfield knocked off by Caldwell
January 30, 2024: West Caldwell, NJ 07006 The Caldwell Chiefs basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Bloomfield Bengals to 47 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chiefs now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbia for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 1. Caldwell will battle a Cougars team coming off a 70-66 non-league loss to Payne Tech (Newark, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 8-10.
The Bengals (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Maroon Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, Nutley was defeated by Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ), 54-44, in a league contest.
