Georgia High School Basketball - Sonoraville overwhelms Cedartown
January 30, 2024: Calhoun, GA 30701 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) and the visiting Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA), saw Sonoraville's basketball squad wallop Cedartown by a tally of 79-50.
With the victory, Sonoraville improves its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA) to confront the Bruins in a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 15-8. Northwest Whitfield lost 54-42 in their recent league challenge against Heritage (Ringgold, GA)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Cedartown will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 80-19 league win over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA).
