Georgia High School Basketball - Northwest Whitfield nips Cedartown
January 23, 2024: Cedartown, GA 30125 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) and the host Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA), saw Northwest Whitfield's basketball squad hold off Cedartown by a count of 60-53.
With the victory, Northwest Whitfield upgrades its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Bruins host Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA) to play the Raiders in a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 2-18. Southeast Whitfield County lost 87-49 in their recent league challenge against Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Heritage Generals (Ringgold, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Cedartown will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 66-54 league loss to Central (Carrollton, GA).
