Arkansas High School Basketball - Nevada tops Emerson
January 30, 2024: Emerson, AR 71740 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Nevada Blue Jays (Rosston, AR) and the host Emerson Pirates (Emerson, AR), saw Nevada's basketball squad knock off Emerson by a count of 64-47.
With the victory, Nevada upgrades its record to 24-7 on the campaign. The Blue Jays host Hermitage (Hermitage, AR) to play the Hermits in a 1A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Hermits come into the challenge with a record of 2-17. Hermitage lost 75-57 in their recent league challenge against Hampton (Hampton, AR)
Next up, the Pirates play the Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, AR) in a 1A Region 8 challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Emerson will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 75-57 league win over Hermitage (Hermitage, AR).
