Maine High School Basketball - Winslow crushes Leavitt
January 30, 2024: Winslow, ME 04901 Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), 65-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Winslow upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Black Raiders travel to Belfast (Belfast, ME) to clash with the Lions in a B North bout on Friday, February 2. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-16. Belfast lost 85-33 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME)
Next up, the Hornets clash with the Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) in a B South bout, on Friday, February 2. Leavitt will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 85-33 non-league win over Belfast (Belfast, ME).
