The Wellsboro Hornets basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Towanda Black Knights to 37 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mansfield for a contest on Thursday, February 1. Wellsboro will meet a Tigers team coming off a 70-59 non-league loss to Troy (Troy, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-5.
