Washington High School Basketball - Blaine can't get by Ferndale
January 30, 2025: Blaine, WA 98230 Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), 59-56 in a league match.
With the victory, Ferndale advances its record to 9-9 on the year. The Golden Eagles travel to Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to meet the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Monday, February 3. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 8-10. Mt. Baker lost 79-40 in their recent league match against Lakewood (Arlington, WA)
The Borderites now own a 2-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Vernon for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Monday, February 3. Blaine will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 72-55 league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-10.
