The Ferndale Golden Eagles basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs to 52 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The Golden Eagles now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest game on Saturday, January 11. Ferndale will confront a Seahawks team coming off a 57-46 league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Mount Vernon falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Squalicum (Bellingham, WA) to confront the Storm in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest game on Monday, January 13. The Storm go into the game with a record of 6-6. Squalicum won 62-51 in their recent league game against Mt. Baker (Deming, WA)
