January 30, 2025: Calhoun, GA 30701 The Sonoraville Phoenix basketball squad (Calhoun, GA), lost 68-60 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA)
With the victory, Model advances its record to 15-5 on the year. The Blue Devils host Pepperell (Lindale, GA) to meet the Dragons in a A D1 Region 6 battle on Friday, January 31. The Dragons enter the battle with a record of 1-20. Pepperell lost 76-23 in their recent league battle against Darlington (Rome, GA)
The Phoenix now own a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockmart for a AA Region 7 battle on Friday, January 31. Sonoraville will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 64-63 league loss to North Murray (Chatsworth, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-18.
