In Thursday's non-league test, the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes (Palm Harbor, FL) basketball squad knocked off the host Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL), by a score of 59-50.

Next, the Hurricanes encounter the Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 31. Palm Harbor University will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Spongers come into the test with a 5-12 record after their 51-25 non-league loss to East Lake (Tarpon Springs, FL).
