The Delta Eagles basketball squad (Muncie, IN), was nudged 55-52 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN)

With the victory, Mt. Vernon advances its record to 17-6 on the year.

The Eagles now own a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hamilton Heights for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. Delta will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 50-33 non-league loss to Heritage Christian (Indianapolis, IN). The Huskies record now stands at 5-16.
