The Mt. Vernon Marauders basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Greenfield-Central Cougars to 37 in the Marauders league triumph on Friday.

The Marauders now have a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to New Castle for a Hoosier Heritage game on Tuesday, January 28.

With the loss, Greenfield-Central falls to 15-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Yorktown (Yorktown, IN) to confront the Tigers in a Hoosier Heritage game on Tuesday, January 28. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 13-6. Yorktown won 46-25 in their recent league game against New Castle (New Castle, IN)
