The New Castle Trojans basketball squad (New Castle, IN), was nudged 34-28 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN)

The Marauders now possess a 16-6 record. They play next when they travel to Delta for a Hoosier Heritage game on Thursday, January 30. Mt. Vernon will play a Eagles team coming off a 54-38 non-league loss to Monroe Central (Parker City, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 14-6.

With the loss, New Castle falls to 5-16 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Anderson (Anderson, IN) to play the Indians in a non-league game on Thursday, January 30.
