Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 48-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Connersville upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Spartans host Batesville (Batesville, IN) to face the Bulldogs in a Eastern Indiana match on Thursday, December 12. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 8-2. Batesville won 42-30 in their recent league match against Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN)

The Trojans now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelbyville for a Hoosier Heritage match on Friday, December 13. New Castle will face a Golden Bears squad coming off a 42-38 league win over New Palestine (New Palestine, IN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 4-4.
