Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Erie nips McDowell

In Thursday's league contest, the host Erie Royals basketball team scored a close 36-30 win over the McDowell Trojans.

The Royals (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Oakland Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The come into the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Oakland Catholic edged Valley (New Kensington, PA), 66-37, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Cathedral Prep Ramblers (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 6 contest, on Thursday, February 6. McDowell will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record.
