The Ripley Vikings basketball squad (Ripley, WV), was crushed 59-37 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV)

With the victory, Nitro advances its record to 12-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to meet the Patriots in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 1. The Patriots enter the battle with a record of 10-6. Wheeling Park won 47-37 in their recent non-league battle against Union Local (Belmont, OH)
