Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA), 64-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Iowa Valley upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host H-L-V (Victor, IA) to play the Warriors in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Thursday, February 2. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 9-11. H-L-V won 54-46 in their recent league bout against B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA)

Next up, the Plainsmen play the GMG Wolverines (Garwin, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Belle Plaine will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 85-56 non-league loss to Baxter (Baxter, IA).
