West Virginia High School Basketball - Shady Spring overwhelms Bluefield
January 31, 2023: Shady Spring, WV 25918 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) and the visiting Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV), saw Shady Spring's basketball squad wallop Bluefield by a tally of 96-65.
With the victory, Shady Spring improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV) to encounter the Knights in a non-league outing on Friday, February 3. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 7-6. Cabell Midland won 56-51 in their recent league outing against Spring Valley (Huntington, WV)
The Beavers now own a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Wyoming East for a Coalfield AA outing on Friday, February 3. Bluefield will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 60-47 non-league loss to Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 11-4.
