Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton nudges Broadway
January 31, 2023: Broadway, VA 22815 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) basketball squad edged the host Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA), by a count of 61-55.
The Storm (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Cougars go into the Shenandoah outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, Stuarts Draft was tipped by Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA), 56-42, in a league outing.
The Gobblers now hold a 10-9 record. They play next when they host Harrisonburg for a Valley outing on Friday, February 3. Broadway will clash with a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 73-45 league win over Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 3-15.
