Virginia High School Basketball - Mathews trounced by Carver College and Career Academy

The Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines routed the host Mathews Blue Devils basketball team by a final score of 80-46 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Wolverines face the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA) in a Tidewater game, on Friday, February 3. Carver College and Career Academy will attempt to move on its 17-2 season record. The Royal Tigers enter the game with a 2-13 record after their 65-32 non-league loss to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA).

With the defeat, Mathews moves to 8-11 on the year. The Blue devils travel to Gloucester (Gloucester, VA) to face the Dukes in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 1.
