The Granbury Pirates basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Northwest Texans to 34 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saginaw for a 5A Region I District 5 contest on Friday, February 3. Granbury will battle a Rough Riders team coming off a 70-58 league win over Azle (Azle, TX). The Rough Riders record now stands at 12-14.

The Texans (14-16) will now prepare for their contest against Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Raiders come into the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 13-14 record. In their last contest, Rider was nudged by Granbury (Granbury, TX), 46-37, in a league contest.
