Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) and the visiting Northwest Texans (Justin, TX), saw Granbury's basketball squad hold off Northwest by a tally of 36-34.

With the victory, Granbury improves its record to 18-10 on the campaign. The Pirates host Aledo (Aledo, TX) to confront the Bearcats in a 5A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, February 7. The Bearcats go into the test with a record of 13-10. Aledo lost 62-43 in their recent league test against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX)
