Minnesota High School Basketball - Warroad nips Lake of the Woods
January 31, 2023: Warroad, MN 56763 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Warroad Warriors (Warroad, MN) and the visiting Lake of the Woods Bears (Baudette, MN), saw Warroad's basketball squad hold off Lake of the Woods by a tally of 65-64.
With the victory, Warroad improves its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Crookston (Crookston, MN) to play the Pirates in a AA Section 8 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Crookston lost 89-43 in their recent league challenge against Thief River Falls (Thief River Falls, MN)
Next up, the Bears play the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves (Walker, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Lake of the Woods will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 77-56 non-league loss to Blackduck (Blackduck, MN).
