January 31, 2023: North Smithfield, RI 02896 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI) and the visiting Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI), saw North Smithfield's basketball squad overcome Scituate by a tally of 57-39.
With the victory, North Smithfield improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Northmen travel to Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI) to confront the Scarlet Knights in a Division 3 challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Scarlet Knights come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Exeter-West Greenwich lost 69-52 in their recent league challenge against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Highlander Charter (Warren, RI) in a Division 3 challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Scituate will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record.
