The Opelousas Catholic Vikings basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets to 31 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host False River for a 1A District 6 contest on Friday, February 3. Opelousas Catholic will battle a Gators team coming off a 50-12 league loss to St. Edmund (Eunice, LA). The Gators record now stands at 2-16.

The Hornets (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Baton Rouge, LA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-16 record. In their last contest, Central was defeated by Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA), 53-21, in a league contest.
