The Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), 41-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Maroons (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ). The Highlanders go into the Freelance test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Northern Highlands got by Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ), 52-49, in a non-league test.
