North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheboro can't hold off Central Davidson
January 31, 2023: Asheboro, NC 27203 The Central Davidson Spartans basketball team scored 35 points and held the host Asheboro Blue Comets to 33 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montgomery Central for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3.
The Blue Comets (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, North Davidson was nudged by Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 56-41, in a league contest.
