Minnesota High School Basketball - Washburn nips Minneapolis Southwest
January 31, 2024: Minneapolis, MN 55419 Washburn Millers (Minneapolis, MN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Minneapolis Southwest Lakers (Minneapolis, MN), 52-50 in a league bout.
With the win, Washburn upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Millers host Minneapolis South (Minneapolis, MN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 14-2.
Next up, the Lakers play the Apple Valley Eagles (Apple Valley, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Minneapolis Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 56-52 league loss to Burnsville (Burnsville, MN).
