The Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA), 67-55 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Pioneers (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Chilhowie went down by Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA), 54-19, in a league test.

The Scarlet Hurricanes now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Graham for a Southwest test on Friday, February 2. Marion will encounter a G-Men squad coming off a 50-32 non-league loss to PikeView (Princeton, WV). The G-Men record now stands at 6-10.
