South Carolina High School Basketball - Hunter-Kinard-Tyler can't hold off Calhoun County
January 31, 2025: Neeses, SC 29107 Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans (Neeses, SC), 51-49 in a league match.
With the victory, Calhoun County advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Saints host Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC) to face the Fighting Hawks in a A Region 3 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Fighting Hawks enter the match with a record of 4-9. Blackville-Hilda lost 82-69 in their recent league match against North (North, SC)
The Trojans now own a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williston-Elko for a A Region 3 match on Tuesday, February 4. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 66-63 league loss to Horse Creek Academy (Aiken, SC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-7.
