Georgia High School Basketball - Wheeler triumphant over Cherokee
January 31, 2025: Canton, GA 30114 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Wheeler Wildcats (Marietta, GA) and the host Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA), observed Wheeler's basketball team overwhelm Cherokee by a margin of 95-42.
The Wildcats (20-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Paulding (Dallas, GA). The Wolfpack come into the AAAAAA Region 5 challenge with a 5-17 record. In their last challenge, North Paulding was trounced by Etowah (Woodstock, GA), 84-53, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Cherokee will attempt to better on its 15-9 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 60-46 league loss to Walton (Marietta, GA).
