New Mexico High School Basketball - Portales victorious over Goddard

In Friday's league contest, the host Portales Rams basketball team scored a good 54-38 triumph over the Goddard Rockets.

The Rams (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Artesia (Artesia, NM). The Bulldogs go into the 4A District 4 contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Artesia topped Lovington (Lovington, NM), 59-46, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rockets confront the New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Goddard will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Colts go into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 70-59 non-league loss to Hagerman (Hagerman, NM).
