In Friday's league test, the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) basketball squad trounced the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), by a final score of 79-46.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) in a 4A District 4 test, on Friday, February 14. Lovington will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 15-7 record after their 67-48 league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM).
