The East Gaston Warriors basketball squad (Mt. Holly, NC), was crushed 47-3 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC)

With the victory, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Gryphons travel to Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC) to meet the Raptors in a non-league battle on Monday, February 3. The Raptors enter the battle with a record of 5-12. Lake Lure Classical Academy lost 51-46 in their recent non-league battle against Haywood Christian Academy (Waynesville, NC)

The Warriors now own a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bessemer City for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont battle on Tuesday, February 4. East Gaston will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 54-37 league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 10-9.
