In Friday's league contest, the host Riverside Rangers basketball team scored a big 57-15 triumph over the Fabens Wildcats.

The Rangers (21-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mountain View (El Paso, TX). The Lobos go into the 4A Region I District 2 contest with a 19-8 record. In their last contest, Mountain View smashed Clint (Clint, TX), 35-30, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the San Elizario Eagles (San Elizario, TX) in a 4A Region I District 2 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Fabens will attempt to better on its 14-13 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 10-15 record after their 40-31 league loss to Mountain View (El Paso, TX).
