Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Italy Gladiators (Italy, TX), 36-32 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Mildred advances its record to 11-16 on the year.

The Gladiators now own a 17-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kerens for a 2A Region III District 18 match on Tuesday, February 4. Italy will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 45-4 league win over Hubbard (Hubbard, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 13-17.
