Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 49-43 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Surry Central advances its record to 5-12 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Forbush (East Bend, NC) to meet the Falcons in a match on Tuesday, February 4. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 2-16.
