January 9, 2025: East Bend, NC 27018 The Forbush Falcons basketball squad (East Bend, NC), was outscored 54-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC)
With the victory, Surry Central advances its record to 3-8 on the year. The Golden Eagles travel to Elkin (Elkin, NC) to meet the Buckin' Elks in a non-league battle on Monday, January 13. The Buckin' Elks come into the test with a record of 4-8. Elkin lost 50-30 in their recent non-league test against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
The Falcons (2-11) will now prepare for their test against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, East Surry beat Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 58-45, in a non-league test.
