December 10, 2024: Walnut Cove, NC 27052 The South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 68-30 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Sauras now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. South Stokes will play a Trojans team coming off a 58-32 non-league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Surry Central falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a bout on Wednesday, December 11. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Wilkes Central won 52-39 in their recent non-league bout against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)
