North Carolina High School Basketball - Smithfield-Selma sneaks past Fike
January 31, 2025: Smithfield, NC 27577 The Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) basketball edged the visiting Fike Demons (Wilson, NC), 41-37 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to West Johnston for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. Smithfield-Selma will play a Wildcats team coming off a 43-24 league loss to East Wake (Wendell, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Fike falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Demons travel to C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC) to play the Golden Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Golden Falcons go into the bout with a record of 11-5. C.B. Aycock won 36-32 in their recent league bout against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC)
