New York High School Basketball - Port Jervis crushes Liberty
January 4, 2023: Liberty, NY 12754 Port Jervis Raiders (Port Jervis, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Liberty Indians (Liberty, NY), 70-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Port Jervis upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY) to play the Dragons in a Section 9 Orange County III bout on Friday, January 6. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Cornwall Central won 69-53 in their recent non-league bout against Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY)
Next up, the Indians play the Chester Hambletonians (Chester, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Hambletonians come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 67-56 non-league loss to Haldane (Cold Spring, NY).
