The Paradise Valley Trojans (Phoenix, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ), 48-45 in Wednesday's league test.

The Trojans (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Apollo (Glendale, AZ). The Hawks go into the 5A Northwest test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Apollo was tipped by Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ), 69-34, in a league test.

The Coyotes now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Willow Canyon for a 5A Northwest test on Tuesday, January 10.
